a hammer gives way

to the modern industry

choking pristine air

as Autumn sets in

stark bright turns to mellow tones

peace invigorates

red green and yellow

the earthen panorama

now sepia cool

In the rising flame

the truth of the world is found

burning hot and bright

Spring comes far too soon

as winter's last vestige fades

like puddles of snow
