memories which bring succour
forgetting what won't
the nineteen eighties
had the video game scene
all the world's color
techno-utopian dreams
but not just that, no
hatred of the gays was rife
malice for the poor
and 'one black friend' racism
it's fine---remember your youth
but mind nostalgia blindness
